This week was a sad week for a baglover like me, I encountered double-whammy misadventures, let's just say that those bags were not meant for me. The first, an LV keepal medium-sized that I saw in an ukay-ukay (thrift shop) that sells for 1/4 of its flagship store price, quite steep for an ukay-ukay but still, a steal since original LVs are hard to find due to its high resale value, and mind you, the price doesn't depreciate like the way an automotive does. Another faggot was eyeing the bag but i told him that the bag was as good as sold since I just need to go to the ATM to get cash. Guess what my friend told me while I was outside the store, that faggot bought my LV, and I could not believe that the store's staff sold the bag to him. The second bag, a Paul Smith overnight bag with old globes as prints, was as good as sold to me. I made sure that it was well-kept in the storage room of Paul Smith Glorietta 4. Imagine how I felt when I came back for it and the store staff said that somebody bought it already. With a fever running at 40 degress and chills to boot, I gave the Paul Smith staff named Eric a good dressing down, he has no idea what I was feeling that moment, and he kept saying "I am sorry", and just like FPJ's widow, i retorted, "Aanhin ko pa sorry mo, wala na Paul Smith bag ko" (what good is your sorry, I do not have the Paul Smith bag anymore). Out of frustration, I rushed to Zara and bought a croc-leather loafers instead, the very same one I bought a week ago, the only difference is that the one I got before was a size bigger, and more expensive by a thousand. This is what depression and flu combined brings to an addict like me, do I need another pair of shoes? The reason I was in the mall was for a bag, not shoes, but another pair that used to sell for P4,500 is not bad, P1,450 is more than enough to wash away all the hatred I felt when I lost 2 bags. As Scarlett O'Hara says, "Tomorrow is another day"...and tomorrow, I will buy another bag, a Prada black nylon overnighter at that...
