New Year...Old Boyfriend...

It's official, we are back together. It happened today, I don't know why I got his number from a friend who happens to keep it in his phonebook, stupid me. He didn't even bother to greet me during the christmas holidays, and as explained by my ex who is now my BF that he doesn't have a mobile phone, so it was next to impossible for him to greet me. Yesterday, he sent a message asking how I was, it lead to an exchange of text messages that led to an afternoon meeting. I was disposing some basketball shoes from my closet and I asked him if he wanted to buy a pair. Fortunately or unfortunately, when he came to my apartment, 2 college friends were around since we had lunch. There he was, walking towards me just like the time he was walking away 4 months ago. No pleasantries were said on the lobby, but once inside the elevator, I asked him if he was happy with his life now, and he said yes, end of conversation. I opened the door of the unit where my friends were, then I nonchalantly led him inside and casually introduced him to them, which caught him by surprise, then I showed him the shoes I was selling, sat him at the dining table while my friends were surfing the net at the couch. He tried on the shoes, and I sat beside him, it was so obvious, I am still in love with my ex, the energy was bouncing off the wall in a 39 square meter space. He started renegotiating for the price of the sneakers, bargaining and blackmailing our supposed friendship to ask for a discount, how pathetic, and I told him off that there was no friendship to start with. I introduced my new dog, I told him that I named the dog after him, which is totally untrue, he smiled. Then my friends hovered around in the dining table and started selling me off, although prior to that, my ex and I spoke in hush tones, bantering about what happened the past 4 months we were apart. On the way down with my friends and my ex, more teasing occured, and this continued all the way to the car. He said to my friends that I left him, which was the real story, for what reason I can't remember. He was accommodating and answered my friends' inquisition. We dropped off my ex in the nearest MRT station since he was going home, he promised that he would see me next week. Everything was fleeting, from being single, I am back to being a couple, for how long, I am not sure. After 4 years of being on and off with my ex, I think I will play it by ears, and I am back to the idea of being in a relationship. Maybe we could just be friends for a long time, let him go for good when he decides to settle down with a wife, or be a godparent to his kids. Time flies fast, before we know it, our relationships are measured by decades, not by months or years, but for now, I will take everything one day at a time, I have bigger problems to think about, like paying my mortgage or getting a real job, not a blow job.
